“Where the transfer is going to a known provider, there are very few excuses for them taking a long time. We’re trying to make sure that transfers that aren’t scams or high-risk can be transferred in 10 days. But 5 per cent of transfers go to scams, so we also have to be careful so people don’t lose all of their savings. If the government is really serious about transfers being faster, they’ll need to help with the regulation.”
